WEDDINGS FAQs

What is your photographic style and your attitude about wedding photography?

We typically shoot your wedding in a photojournalistic style consisting of natural un-posed photographs. The result is a photographic storytelling of your entire wedding day. Our philosophy, first and foremost, is to come prepared and remain unobtrusive, courteous, and professional during the event.

How long have you been a photographer?

We have always had a passion for photography, and during college we grew to expand this fervor with photographic theory and artistic technique.

What is your date booking policy?

The contract illustrates a $500 non-refundable retainer to hold a wedding date. Thereafter, to ensure your date remains locked-in, 50% of the package amount must be paid four months prior to the event date and the remainder must be paid 3 weeks before the scheduled date.

Do you use digital or film?

We shoot your entire wedding using digital photographic equipment. The ability to view images right after they are captured allows us to try different angles or change settings to attain a better photograph. Digital previews facilitate the collaborative process between you and us for certain photographs. Using digital also allows us to create a quick slide show for the reception to give you and your guests a preview of the day's events. Most importantly, this medium allows versatility and ease in digital processing and post-production. It also prevents any images from being lost through accidental damage in film labs and allows us to display your proofs online quickly for viewing and purchasing.

What is the minimum amount of photos you take and how many are available in proofs?

Depending on the package you select and the hours of coverage, there will be a minimum of 500 images, with only the best photos selected for digital processing.

Can color photographs be made into Black and White or Sepia?

Absolutely; any number of photographs may be changed to B&W or Sepia. During processing we select images that would be enhanced with B&W and some for Sepia but ultimately the decision is yours or dependant on your package selection.

Do you take specially requested or posed photographs?

Yes. We have no objection in photographing traditional portraits and group poses. These shots help to complement your journalistic style photos. In order to relieve any stress during your big day, please make a list and email it to us a week prior to the event listing the type of poses you want so that we may capture them for you.

Do you allow wedding guests to take their own photographs?

Yes. Your guests would feel bad if we prevented them from taking their own photographic memories of your wedding, so rest assured that we will not confront any of your guests about taking snapshots. However, let us take the lead in coordinating the photographic process and after we have captured your photos they are welcome to take their own.

Is there a second photographer available for my wedding?

Dependent on the package you request and the size of your wedding, a second photographer and/or additional assistant may be present to assist the main photographer in capturing images from different perspectives and other details of the event.

How will you and any other photographers dress at my wedding?

Our staff will dress professionally and most often dress in black or dark colors so that we will not draw attention to ourselves.

Should I provide a meal for the photographers?

Yes. This is very important. As illustrated in the contract, a hot meal must be provided for any event longer than four hours. In addition, seating arrangements for the meal should be made so that photographers may be near event activities to ensure proper coverage.

What if my church or temple has specific rules or restrictions concerning photographers?

Please notify us beforehand about any rules your ceremony location may have regarding photography so that we may be aware and plan accordingly.

Can you cover any last minute events?

Depending on date availability and the details of your event we may be able to cover an event on short notice with a package selection or by an hourly basis. Please contact us for specific details.
