Wedding ceremony & reception at the
hyatt huntington beach resort & Spa

These photos were taken at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa in Huntington Beach CA. Pictured above is a view of one of the lawns used for wedding ceremonies. This venue has nice features in its architecture and provides great views of the beach. This wedding took place in october in the afternoon. You can see the beautiful shadows and sky that were present on that day.

The ceremony area faces directly to the bridge that takes guests toward the beach. On the other side of the bridge there is a lighthouse which is non-functional but looks great on photos. During the wedding the bridge to the beach remains open, so hotel guests wil occasionally go across it.

I was lucky when I took the photo shown above, that no one was crossing the bridge, as that would have presented a distraction. The photo on the right is of the groom getting ready, being helped by his brother and father. The room had a big window which I used to light the subject.

Here is a view of lawn with the shops and restaurants in the background. There is a real nice foutain in the middle which can be creatively used in photos.

The photos shown above shows the room used for the reception. There were nice lighting features (a part of the hotel) but additionally the lighting was provided by OCAV. The lighting makes a big difference in photos as it brings the room to life and creates points of interest. I was real happy to see OCAV put a spotlight on the wedding cake too. These rooms are versatile and in a matter of minutes the hotel staff can transform them into different looks.
