These photos were taken at Eaton Sunnyslope Park in Pasadena. This picturesque park was coveniently located between the Church (where the ceremony was held) and the reception site. Its a great place for portraits because the park doesn't get a lot of visitors. There are rolling green grass mounds, pine trees and big rocks. We took the photos in the afternoon during the fall, which gave us amazing sunlight.

The bride and groom needed little direction when it came to the portraits. I chose locations with the largest open shade available, and where the background showed natural foliage. It was important to capture a sense of nature as both the bride and groom requested this aesthetic. I'm a nature lover myself and use to hike religiously, so this was a great opporturnity to include natural elements in the photographs.

Eaton Sunnyslope Park has about three or four distinct locations for photographs, all of which have a natural setting. Depending on the time of day, certain locations are better than others. The photo above of the bride was taken from above with an 82mm 1.2 lens which is great for blurring the backgrounds.

The bridal party was fun to work with. They offered ideas for different types of shots and if it wasn't for time constraints we would have kept shooting much longer. I love when clients collaborate with their ideas as it always bring about personal, fresh and unexpected results.
